قَدْر
This verse teaches us to see the trial of poverty differently.
وَأَمَّآ إِذَا مَا ٱبۡتَلَىٰهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيۡهِ رِزۡقَهُۥ
But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me".
Quran, Al-Fajr 89:16
The previous verse shows a man who, when favored, becomes proud. Here, Allah describes one who, when tested with hardship, feels humiliated. Yet, restriction of provision is also a trial, just like abundance. It does not mean Allah despises us. In life, financial difficulty can make us doubt ourselves. But this verse invites us to be patient: not to interpret hardship as rejection, but as a test to face with trust.
Today, if a financial difficulty arises, take a minute to say: "This is a trial, I am patient."
