Dhikr and remembrances

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ! كَمْ شَاهَدَ النَّاسُ مِنْ هَذَا عِبَرًا؟ وَالَّذِي يَخْفَى عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ أَحْوَالِ الْمُحْتَضِرِينَ أَعْظَمُ وَأَعْظَمُ.

Glory to Allah! How many lessons have people drawn from this? And what escapes them of the states of the dying is far greater and more immense still.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، فَقَالَ: آهْ آهْ، لَا أَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ أَقُولَهَا.

There is no god but Allah.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، فَقَالَ: شَاهْ رُخْ، غَلَبْتُكَ. ثُمَّ قَضَى.

There is no god but Allah.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، فَقَالَ:

There is no god but Allah.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، فَجَعَلَ يَهْذِي بِالْغِنَاءِ وَيَقُولُ: تَاتِنَا تِنِنْتَا. حَتَّى قَضَى

"There is no god but Allah."

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: هَذِهِ الْقِطْعَةُ رَخِيصَةٌ، هَذَا مُشْتَرٍ جَيِّدٌ، هَذِهِ كَذَا. حَتَّى قَضَى.

There is no god but Allah. There is no god but Allah.

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ! كَمْ مِنْ قَلْبٍ مَنْكُوسٍ وَصَاحِبُهُ لَا يَشْعُرُ؟ وَقَلْبٍ مَمْسُوخٍ وَقَلْبٍ مَخْسُوفٍ بِهِ؟ وَكَمْ مِنْ مَفْتُونٍ بِثَنَاءِ النَّاسِ عَلَيْهِ وَمَغْرُورٍ بِسِتْرِ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ؟ وَمُسْتَدْرَجٍ بِنِعَمِ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ؟ وَكُلُّ هَذِهِ عُقُوبَاتٌ وَإِهَانَاتٌ وَيَظُنُّ الْجَاهِلُ أَنَّهَا كَرَامَةٌ.

Glory to Allah! How many hearts are overturned without their owner realizing it? How many hearts are deformed or struck by eclipse? How many are tested by the praise of people toward them, or deceived by the veil Allah has spread over them? How many are those whom Allah’s blessings gradually lead to their ruin? And all of this constitutes punishments and humiliations, while the ignorant think it is honor!

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَالنُّورَ - ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ

Praise be to Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth and made darkness and light. Yet those who disbelieve set up equals to their Lord.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُ ذَلِكَ بَثَثْتُ فِيهِمُ الْأَهْوَاءَ، فَهُمْ يُذْنِبُونَ وَلَا يَتُوبُونَ، لِأَنَّهُمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يُحْسِنُونَ صُنْعًا.

There is no god but Allah. When I perceived this, I spread among them the passions, and they commit sins without repenting, for they imagine they are doing good.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ. فَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ: الدَّارُ الْفُلَانِيَّةُ أَصْلِحُوا فِيهَا كَذَا، وَالْبُسْتَانُ الْفُلَانِيُّ افْعَلُوا فِيهِ كَذَا.

There is no god but Allah.
