Dhikr and remembrances

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، فَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ بِالْفَارِسِيَّةِ: دَهْ يَازَدَهْ دَهْ وَازَدَهْ، تَفْسِيرُهُ: عَشْرٌ بِأَحَدَ عَشَرَ.

There is no god but Allah.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، فَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ:

There is no god but Allah.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَهِيَ الَّتِي وَرَّثَهَا إِمَامُ الْحُنَفَاءِ لِأَتْبَاعِهِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ.

There is no god but Allah. This is the word that the imam of the hanifs, Ibrâhîm, peace be upon him, bequeathed to his followers until the Day of Resurrection.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ .

There is no god but Allah; whoever says this will enter Paradise.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَلِهَذَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَى النَّارِ مَنْ شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ حَقِيقَةَ الشَّهَادَةِ، وَمُحَالٌ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ النَّارَ مَنْ تَحَقَّقَ بِحَقِيقَةِ هَذِهِ الشَّهَادَةِ وَقَامَ بِهَا، كَمَا قَالَ تَعَالَى: وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ بِشَهَادَاتِهِمْ قَائِمُونَ

There is no god but Allah. It is for this reason that Allah has forbidden the Fire to whoever bears witness that there is no god but Allah with the sincerity of the testimony. It is impossible for one who has realized the truth of this testimony and fulfilled it [fully] to enter the Fire. As the Most High has said: {And those who are constant in their testimonies} [Sura Al-Ma‘ârij: 33].

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ - عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

Glory be to Allah! He is above what they ascribe to Him. Knower of the unseen and the seen, He is far above what they associate with Him.

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ - لَا يُسْأَلُ عَمَّا يَفْعَلُ وَهُمْ يُسْأَلُونَ

Glory be to Allah, Lord of the Throne, far above what they ascribe to Him! He is not questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، وَأَنَّ كُلَّ مَعْبُودٍ مِنْ لَدُنْ عَرْشِهِ إِلَى قَرَارِ أَرْضِهِ بَاطِلٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُ الْأَعْلَى، قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: مَا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ مِنْ وَلَدٍ وَمَا كَانَ مَعَهُ مِنْ إِلَهٍ إِذًا لَذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلَهٍ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ - عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

There is no god but Allah, the One, without associate. To Him belongs sovereignty and to Him is due all praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is Omnipotent over all things. And every object of worship, from His Throne to the depths of the earth, is vain, except His sublime Face. Allah, exalted is He, has said: {Allah has not taken any son, nor is there any god with Him; otherwise, each god would have taken away what He created, and some would have risen above others. Exalted is Allah above what they describe! Knower of the unseen and the seen, He is far above what they associate with Him.} [Surah Al-Mu’minun 23:91-93]

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي صَيَّرَهُ إِلَى طَبْعِ الْآدَمِيِّ.

Praise be to Allah, Who fashioned him according to the nature of the sons of Adam.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، فَإِنَّ الْإِلَهَ هُوَ الَّذِي تَأَلَّهَ الْقُلُوبَ بِالْمَحَبَّةِ وَالْإِجْلَالِ، وَالتَّعْظِيمِ وَالذُّلِّ لَهُ وَالْخُضُوعِ وَالتَّعَبُّدِ، وَالْعِبَادَةُ لَا تَصْلُحُ إِلَّا لَهُ وَحْدَهُ، وَالْعِبَادَةُ هِيَ: كَمَالُ الْحُبِّ مَعَ كَمَالِ الْخُضُوعِ وَالذُّلِّ، وَالشِّرْكُ فِي هَذِهِ الْعُبُودِيَّةِ مِنْ أَظْلَمِ الظُّلْمِ الَّذِي لَا يَغْفِرُهُ اللَّهُ، وَاللَّهُ تَعَالَى يُحَبُّ لِذَاتِهِ مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْوُجُوهِ، وَمَا سِوَاهُ فَإِنَّمَا يُحَبُّ تَبَعًا لِمَحَبَّتِهِ.

There is no god but Allah.
